I’ve had the privilege of listening to hundreds of children share their stories of abuse. It’s never easy to hear, but I know they’re in the right place when they walk through CALICO’s doors. Here, our forensic interviewers gently ask questions in a way that makes kids feel safe and heard. Our family advocates stand beside protective caregivers, helping them figure out the next steps to support their children’s healing.
This work isn’t always easy, but it’s so important. Every child deserves to be heard, believed, and given the chance to heal. Please join me and Team CALICO in making sure we can continue to be there for kids and families when they need us most.
